December is Make Your Goal Month!

I’m Officially declaring the month of December to be Make your Goal December here at Bryanallain.com!

We did this back in May and it worked out pretty well, so why not break it out again? Many of you were going to set a goal or make a resolution at the beginning of NEXT month, why not get a 1-month jump start?

So here’s the deal: I’m giving you today and tomorrow to figure out your fitness goal (or other type of goal) for December. Once you’ve settled on one, post it in the comments section here.

On Thursday morning I’ll be posting everyone’s goals on the blog for the world to see.

What can your goal be? Here’s a few examples:

  • I will lose 5 pounds in December
  • I will run 5 miles a week in December
  • I will hit the gym 3 times a week in December
  • I will lose 3% of my body weight in December
  • I will finish an exercise video routine every other day in December
  • I will keep my calorie count under 2500 every day in December
  • or for those non-fitness folks (I will read 3 books in December)

You get the idea. Just keep in mind, I’d like you to stay away from goals that are vague (“I will eat healthier”). Let’s set measurable goals for ourselves so we have a target to hit.

If we do this together, we might be able to harness the power of community and accountability to increase our chances of success. That’s why I’m so excited about it.

When the month is over we’ll celebrate the successes we’ve achieved together and call out the people who didn’t make their goal. Sound good?

So I’ll go first. Here’s my goal for the month of December. (Actually, I have two):

I will run 31 miles in December and I will lose 5 pounds.

There. I said it.

Now it’s your turn. Give yourself a minute or two (or a day), and then post your goal for the month of December in the comments.
