A Little More About You and Food

Food. Let’s talk about it

3 questions today to get to know a little bit more about you and the yummy stuff your send through your digestive system:

1. If you could pick one food and give it zero calories, what would it be? In other words, eating it would be like drinking water…yes it would sort of fill you up, but with 0 calories.

2. In your opinion, what is the most disgusting food, beverage, or condiment that a lot of other people actually like?

3.  What is your favorite meal at your favorite restaurant these days?

Hungry Yet?

    1. Gonna have to go with buffalo chicken dip. Good Lord that stuff is a party in my mouth. You had to know my answer here would be cheese related.

    2. I’ve got no use for A1 sauce. Literally, none.

    3. Probably the shrimp/salmon combo at Hibachi’s. You get your asian salad, a heaping helping of fried rice, and the shrimp and salmon cooked right in front of you. YES PLEASE!

    1. Chocolate. Honorable mentions goes to Tacos, corn chips, gummy bears and starbucks mocha frappachinos.

    2. There is a fruit called durian that is really popular in some parts of Asia, including in Singapore where I lived for a while. It is awful. It smells like gas leak (so badly they are banned in some public places) and tastes terrible.

    3. My local Thai restaurant does a great beef, cashew and vegetable stirfry

        Make it a priority.

Order the chips and salsa – the chips are homemade. And ask for the green sauce because it needs to be smothered over your entire entree.

    1. Pizza. All of that ooey gooey cheese, sauce, meat toppings. Nom nom nom!

    2. Oyster shooters. Like swallowing severe congestion.

    3. The Porterhouse steak at Outback (so big my wife and I share it).

    1. Cheesecake.

    2. Horseradish. Even the name makes me cringe. Horses do not smell good, and radishes taste like dirt.

    3. Garlic Noodles with Chicken and Adam’s Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory (see #1).

    1. Pizza. Because then I would probably be skinny right now.

    2. I hate Chinese food. People who don’t like Chinese food understand, people that do like Chinese food are completely oblivious to the fact that anyone could not like it and always want to throw it out there like it’s a good universal choice.

    3. Nice pasta dishes. Nothing fancy. Maybe a sausage and peppers over spaghetti.

    1. Pizza
    2. Pickled beets
    3. One favorite meal is a peanut butter and jelly hamburger at The Station Grill (which I had last night). I can’t describe the goodness of this burger.

    1. Ice cream, particularly Baskin Robbins’ chocolate peanut butter, Braum’s peanut butter cup, or Roselani’s Macadamia Nut
    2. Pickled beets, one of those few foods I hated as a child that i’ve never been able to recover from.
    3. A local comfort food I love is “loco moco,” a dish starting with scoops of rice, topped with a hamburger patty, over easy eggs, and brown gravy. I then smother it all with sriracha sauce and rediscover purpose.

    1. Browned butter Nutella-stuffed chocolate chip cookies.

    2. Brined herring. Dutch people love it. They eat it mostly whole (head and bones removed, skin and tail on) with chopped onions on top. It makes me want to throw up.

    3. I miss Taco Bell something fierce. I could eat like 20 basic bean burritos right now.
