odds and ends

i think that Theo will definitely make a deal or two before sunday at 4pm. My gues is that The Sox and The Twins finally agree on the trade that makes so much sense for both of them. I think Kevin Millar and Bill Mueller will get shipped off to the Twins for pitching. Probably Romero and Mays, even though it sounds like the Twins don’t want to give up Mays. In the end, Minnesota has to get something done. They might even throw Brett Boone in there, as they are thinking of letting him go. The Red Sox can put Youkilis at 3rd, and keep Olerud at 1st, and their lineup won’t suffer too much of a loss (Youks is definitely a downgrade from Mueller in my opinion). But the much needed pitching help that they would get in return is a must if they are going to repeat.

Meantime, if they get rid of Millar, with Nixon hurting, i think they need to get another outfielder. I’d love to see them pick up Matt Lawton from Pittsburgh, but not at a high price.

Last Red Sox thought…forget trading Hanley Ramirez. Edgar Renteria is not the future of this Red Sox infield. He is old and way past his prime. If he’s 29, I’m Steve Garvey. Move Him to 2B or trade him to make room for Hanley.

3 more softball games left, one tonight. will watch the thursday BB6 episode tonight, can’t wait. “The Cut” on CBS has been a great show. Tommy Hilfiger is such a pompous weiner, i love it.

I am announcing it here. on monday i’ll announce my starting weight, rules, goals, and such. considering i’m operating at my ‘winter weight’ in late July, i really need this. plus i just need the discipline, as i am a lazy doof most of the time. so more on that next week…
