I’ve been in talks with a few possible speakers for the Killer Tribes Conference over the past couple of weeks and I’m pumped to finally start to share some of them with you.
First up is a guy who’s been killing it in his industry for the past 30 years on a bunch of different levels. He brings with him an understanding of the differences between the creative side of business and the business side of business that few can match.
His name is Glenn “Daddy-O” Bolton, and here’s what you need to know:

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Daddy-O’s music experience took off in the early 1980’s after he founded the socially conscious rap group, Stetsasonic. In light of the South African Apartheid crisis, the group created a single entitled “Africa,” — which led to them being invited to the United Nations where Daddy-O spoke and performed with his group.
During the late 80’s and early 90’s, Daddy-O became more involved with music production and was responsible for producing music for Mary J. Blige, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Keith Richards, Sonic Youth and They Might Be Giants.
Daddy-O’s executive work began in 1995 with Universal Records, where he was responsible for artist discovery and development. While in this capacity, he discovered rap artists Master P. and Mystical. He also provided A&R services for Sony Records and Warner Music Group. Other notable projects include “And 1 Mix Tapes”, “MTV’s Rip the Runway”.
As a speaker and author, Daddy-O is the host of the groundbreaking Internet series “Get Your Digital On”. He blogs for Fast Company and tours the country with his Hip-Hop meets Digital platform. His specialties are Artist Development, Social Media Strategy and Digital Media Production.
