The At-A-Glance calendar on my wall says today is August 3rd and there’s 150 days left in 2010. 150 days…that’s it.
Do you have a To Do list for 2010?
If so, how’s it looking? If it’s looking bad, now’s the time to make some progress. And if you’re well on your way to seeing those things happen, what else can you dream for in these last 5 months of the year?
If you don’t have a list, why not make one today? What’s one or two things you keep putting off that you’d like to see happen before we hit 2011? No matter how trivial or audacious your goals are, 150 days is probably enough time to take major steps towards making it happen.

One of the things I’ve had the bug to do over the past few months has been to start a podcast. I listen to a bunch of them every week during my 50-minute commute, and for a while now I haven’t been able to shake the “I want to do that” feeling.
So in the last six weeks or so I’ve been doing a lot of behind the scenes work to lay the groundwork for a podcast. I’ve interviewed people who already do it, I’ve brainstormed on names and logos and content ideas, I’ve purchased the software and hardware I needed, and I’ve recorded a few test episodes to work out the major kinks. It’s been a challenge for sure, but I’m committed to making it happen.
The last thing I needed to do is to tell you guys about it, just to ensure there’s no backing out. So that’s what I’m doing today with my 150.
So yeah, umm, my decision is…man, this is tough…I’m taking my talents to South Beach.
Introducing, The Fresh Squeezed Podcast with Bryan Allain.
5 Things You Need to Know Right Now
1. Each episode will feature a little bit of me ranting and rambling about whatever is on my mind.
2. Each episode will feature a conversation with a creative person about the how, why, when, where, and what they create.
3. I’m shooting for the beginning of September to launch the first episode.
4. I’m new to this, so I’ll need some grace from you guys as I learn the craft of hosting, producing, and editing a podcast. Like with everything else in life, there will be a learning curve.
5. You can follow the Podcast on Twitter at twitter.com/thefreshpod (that will be the best place to stay current on new episodes, potential guests, and all that jazz)

I’m really excited for this new venture, and want to make it something you guys enjoy. If you have ideas for ways I can make my podcast better, be it programming ideas or potential guests, let me know via twitter or here in the comments.
And if you’d like a little accountability for the goal(s) you have for the last 150 days of the year, I dare you to tell us about it in the comments. I’ll even follow up with you in a couple months to make sure you haven’t dropped the ball.
