Monday Soup

+ Early Saturday morning (4:15am) I woke Parker up to watch the Orionid Meteor shower with me. We were outside for 30 minutes bundled up on a chair on our deck and saw 16 shooting stars! It was the first time he had ever seen one, so it made for a memorable father-son moment.

+ New Coldplay Album – Mylo Xyloto – releases today. Amazon has the MP3 download for $9.49. (all Amazon links are affiliate links)

+ The Killer Tribes website was supposed to relaunch this week, but a couple last minute tweaks and changes on my end have pushed it back a week or so. You’ll see why next week. Excited to share some big news with all of you.

+ The Steve Jobs’ biography is out today. Can’t say that it’s on my “must-read” list, but I found this article interesting. Steve had been quoted before as saying that getting into TV was a “hobby” of his. And not just the Apple TV device either, but actually making an Apple TV set. So what did Steve have to say about this in the book:

“I’d like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use. It would be seamlessly synced with all of your devices and with iCloud. No longer would users have to fiddle with complex remotes for DVD players and cable channels. It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine. I finally cracked it.”

+ Ben Affleck has been tapped to direct the feature of Stephen King’s “The Stand”. Word is it will be a trilogy, and though Affleck has been lauded for his past directorial work, word is it will be his biggest challenge yet. I wonder if Stephen King fans are excited about this or nervous that it won’t go well?

+ I’ve got a new Advertising page up if you or your business are interested in being a sponsor of this blog. It goes beyond just sidebar ads too, we can get creative with sponsored posts and other types of sponsorships. All the numbers you’d need to know are there, email me if you’re interested.

What about you, what’s in your Monday Soup today?
