Monday Soup

+ My amazing wife Erica ran the Baltimore Marathon on Saturday and finished in 4 hours, 4 minutes, and 46 seconds – a new PR for her! Her discipline in training and willingness to push herself is extremely inspiring, so proud of her!

+ Speaking of the Marathon, one cool technology they had was the ability for friends and family to track the runners…only it didn’t work. A couple of us signed up for text updates when Erica hit the halfway point and the finish line but we didn’t get jack squat. Would have been cool, but instead it was a fail.

+ Speaking of technology, check out this Throwable Panoramic Ball Camera. You throw it up in the air and the 36-cameras inside the ball create a 360-degree panoramic view you can download and explore.

+ Speaking of things that look cool, the Orionid Meteor Shower will hit it’s peak this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Find Orion in the sky and then look to your left. Full story.

+ Speaking of things hitting their peak, seems like the NBA lockout has ESPN’s Bill Simmons angrier than ever. I’ve got to be honest, I’m kind of enjoying it. I don’t miss the NBA regular season, and reading Bill’s angry rants in his columns has been good fun – especially since he seems to actually know what he’s talking about and probably could help end the lockout if both parties listened to him.

+ Speaking of things I’m enjoying, 31 Days to Finding Your Blogging Mojo is still selling fairly well, so I’m excited about that. I keep getting positive feedback from readers who are enjoying it as well, so the whole thing continues to be a rewarding experience!
