Monday Soup (on a Tuesday)

1 part broth, 1 part noodles, and 3 parts nonsense.

Monday Soup

+ The STORY Conference in Chicago was a great time last week. Got to meet some cool peeps, got to hang with some friends, got to see a lot of Chicago, and got to witness Ben Arment in action. Really glad I went.

+ Pretty stoked for the beginning of the TV season. I love me some funny 30-minute sitcoms and 1-hour dramas that rhyme with “Shmarenthood”.

+ It’s been a great launch week for 31 Days to Finding Your Blogging Mojo! Thanks to everyone who bought a copy and thanks to everyone who left a review at Amazon, it’s so appreciated. If you haven’t bought a copy yet, what are you waiting for? Even if you’re not a blogger, I bet I can make you laugh in the first 20 pages. What have you got to lose other than $5 you were going to spend on a pack of Newport lights? Go on, buy a copy!

UPDATE: The Nook Version of 31 Days to Mojo is finally available for purchase!

+ The Bloggers Meetup in Atlanta on October 5th is going to be more fun than hearing that your arch enemy has a double hernia! Can’t wait to hang out for a few hours with my nerds. Sign up today.

+ I know it’s only 2 weeks into the season, but the Detroit Lions are looking fresh. A 12:30pm game against the Packers on Thanksgiving Day??? Yes, please.

+ Just finished Moonwalking with Einstein by Joshua Foer and really enjoyed it. All about memory, how we retain information, how competitive memory athletes train, the science of memory, and techniques us normal folks can employ to remember more. Great read, highly recommended.

+ What’s that? You want an introspective post featuring pictures of my lawn? Okay…coming tomorrow.

What about you, what’s in YOUR Monday Soup today?
