Advertising Brilliance #011

I was recently asked to overhaul a marketing campaign for a major soft-drink brand in the United States.

The money they were offering was off the charts, but I turned them down because they refused to give me full control of the creative process.

Nobody told Van Gogh which brushes to use when painting Starry Night. Michelangelo didn’t have a bunch of suits telling him how big David’s pecs should be while he created his famous statue.

Like Miley Cyrus, I need full control over the work I am creating.

Also like Miley Cyrus, I can’t be tamed.
