out of every 50 writers that apply to be a freelance writer at Suite 101, 40 are rejected. at least that’s what they told me when they hired me, that i was one of a lucky 20%. I’m cool with that.

Why am I writing for Suite 101? Why not, I say? The quota of what i need to produce is pretty light, and I could use some more writing experience. I’ll be writing mostly about sports I think, probably about football more when the NFL starts showing up on the radar.

Will I get paid for it? Yeah, a little bit. Mostly based on page views and ad clicks and such. So that’s a good thing too.

I’ve only written one article so far. You can read it here. Just a recap of the Celtics amazing comeback in Game 6 last week. Better stuff is yet to come

this sounds cool, I’ll have to check it out. Man, life in the middle Tenn area is awesome now…

I was wondering what the rejection rate was. I, too, just got accepted with suite101 but my friend burst my bubble saying “it’s probably one of those sites where they hire anyone and everyone who applies.” I couldn’t find any stats on the site regarding that.
