Monday Soup

+ The ever popular Standard Theme for WordPress is 30% off today on Cyber Monday. If you’re looking to take the look/code of your blog to the next level, you could do a lot worse.

+ Aaron Sorkin, who wrote the screenplay for The Social Network among a lot of other great things, is strongly considering writing the screenplay for the Steve Jobs biopic based on Walter Isaacson’s book. Sounds like a win.

+ I caught Bob Costas’ rant against over-the-top touchdown celebrations last night and though I generally like Costas, I thought it made him sound like an old fart. Let these guys celebrate and embarrass themselves. Who cares? They are literally destroying their bodies for our entertainment. Every time they touch the ball there are 11 other guys trying to break their ribs, it’s no wonder they’re excited to make it safely to the end zone. I’d celebrate like a idiot after a TD too.

Hate it when the NFL goes all “No Fun League”.

+ We had our first Mojo Blogging online class last night and it was great! It’s a 4-week interactive video class where I walk bloggers through the principles in my book and provide personalized feedback on their blogs that leads to results. The next class starts on January 8th, you can get more info and apply here: Mojo Blogging Online Class.

+ I don’t know why…and I’m not proud of it…but those Mission Impossible trailers make me really really want to see the movie.

+ I’ve heard some good things about Laura Booz’s Blogger Behave eBook on blogging. If you’ve already read 31 Days to Finding Your Blogging Mojo and you’re looking for another eBook on blogging to devour, check it out. I just started it myself and so far so good.

+ What was San Diego Chargers’ kicker Nick Novak doing on the sideline as time wound down in regulation of a tie game? Peeing. He was peeing behind a gatorade towel. Thank you CBS for not letting him get away with it.

+ I’ve got some exciting things coming on the blog this week. Tomorrow we’re revisiting something we successfully did in May. And on Wednesday I’ll be revealing something that’s been in the works for a while. Stay tuned…

What about you, what’s in your Monday Soup today?
