Monday Soup

+ Congrats to Tyler Stanton and Tripp Crosby for finishing the Atlanta Marathon yesterday! Unbelievable achievement.

+ Fascinating story on Steve Jobs’ relationship with the sister he never knew he had and the way he handled himself while dying. According to her Steve’s last words were “Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow. ”

+ We got about 4 inches of snow on Saturday, which was about 4 inches too much for October 29th. I did get a couple good shots of it while driving around on Saturday morning.

+ National Novel Writing Month starts tomorrow. It’s called NaNoWriMo and it’s a 30-day sprint to see if you can write a novel in a month. I’ve never done it, but what I love about it is that it forces people to put their butt in a seat and crank out words. The only way you become a better writer is to write more, and this idea certainly forces you to do that. Ever done NaNoWriMo or know someone who has?

+ FOX is bringing back In Living Color? Yup.

+ Amazon Prime, which is an amazing service for $79/year, keeps getting better. From their website today, “Today, we’re announcing an agreement with Disney-ABC that adds 800 popular titles from ABC Studios, The Disney Channel, ABC Family, and Marvel. These new titles will bring the total to almost 13,000 TV shows and movies — all available for unlimited instant streaming.”

+ Speaking of Amazon, today’s the last day to get a bunch of albums for $5 including discs from Coldplay, NeedToBreathe, Katy Perry, M Ward, and Casting Crowns. (affiliate link)

+ What’s the coolest, most ridiculous, and maybe most expensive Halloween costume I’ve read about recently? Probably this “I’ve got a hole in my body costume, which requires two iPad 2’s and FaceTime.

+ Are you dressing up as anything for Halloween today? I’m dressed as an office worker in a cubicle.

What about you, what’s in your Monday Soup today?
