+  I just booked my second stand up comedy gig! It’s happening on Valentine’s Night at a local church here in Lancaster County. They’re giving me about 20 minutes, which means I need to develop another solid 6-7 minutes of jokes in the next month. Partly freaked out, mostly excited!

+ Such great NFL Football this weekend. Amazing performances by Kaepernick (in a win) and Russell Wilson (in a loss). Horrible performances by the Broncos safety (Rahim Moore), the Broncos coaching staff (taking a knee with 30 seconds, 2 timeouts, and Peyton Manning?), and the Seahawks in the first half.

Next week’s games?

SF at ATL (+3.5) – We haven’t seen a home team in a Conference championship game be this big of an underdog in over 15 years. But hey, after seeing how efficient SF looked on both sides of the ball on Saturday, would YOU take the Falcons unless you were getting 3 or more points? I’m leaning San Francisco because Harbaugh won’t let his team sleep through the first half like Carroll did. Niners win, 31-20.

BAL at NE (-9.5) – This line feels a little high to me. I know the Patriots offense is historically good, but Flacco is in a groove right now throwing to Smith and Boldin and you can still beat the Patriots with the deep ball (something Houston rarely tries to do, incidentally). Not to mention that Ray Rice has had big games against the Patriots in the past. Baltimore was a dropped pass away from winning this game last year, I think New England wins by just a touchdown, 34-27.

+ Want two good business book recommendations? I’m really enjoying The Icarus Deception and Heart, Smarts, Guts, and Luck right now. (Amazon affiliate links)

+ What do you think Facebook’s big announcement today is? A new Facebook Phone or tablet? A redesign of the timeline for the 432nd time? Something to do with Instagram? I’m not holding my breath or anything, but interested to see what they’re up to. Feel free to make your guess in the comments.

Have a great week everyone…
