A Short Hiatus and a Creative Exercise

Like someone who ate too much cheese, my blogging schedule will be going irregular for the rest of July.

Next week our fam is taking a mini vacation to Baltimore to watch the Red Sox play baseball (and maybe fight again!) and to visit the Baltimore Aquarium. I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to getting away with my 3 favorite people. Family trips, FTW!

The week after that I’ll be in Dallas (ECHO Conference) and Nashville (Quitter Conference), so I’m not sure how much blogging I’ll be able to do amidst all the travel.

I haven’t taken a short blog hiatus like this in a long time, so it’s a little scary. You guys will all still be here in August, right? We’ll still be friends? I hope so.

In the meantime, I’ve got a creative exercise for you. I’d like for you to write my vacation updates for me in the comments section of this post. You guys always crack me up, and I’m sure you can kill this one. (and while I won’t be blogging much in the next 2 weeks, I’ll read every comment every day).

Write them as if it were me writing them, and I’ll pull together all my favorites in a couple weeks and create a vacation timeline feature your funny in a blog post. You already know some of what I’m up to (Baltimore, baseball, aquarium, conferences, airports, networking, speaking, etc.) so you will have plenty to draw from. Or you can think up random stuff too.

For example:

Yankee fan sitting 3 rows in front of us. Teaching Parker how to hit someone in the head with a peanut without getting caught.

You get the idea.

These should be fun to read, so see what others have written and add your own.

And thanks again for being such an amazing community of readers, I am truly blessed!

Now tell everyone what I’m up to on my vacation.
