This is a map of my traffic here at the site over the last 3 months. The darker the green, the more visitors I have from that state.
Up until a few weeks ago, I had never had a visitor from Montana. But on December 6th, that all changed. Welcome aboard, Treasure State! In fact, in an effort to get more visitors from Montana reading the site, I will start writing more Montana-specific items. I’ll start with the next paragraph.
I like ranching and wheat farming. I also like lumber. Glacier National Park is pretty awesome, though I’ve never been there. But if I wanted to go to Yellowstone National Park, it’s nice to know that 3 of the 5 entrances are in Montana. Ever notice how the western border of Montana looks like a man’s profile? Actually, it looks like Idaho is one of those pin things you buy from Sharper Image that you make make impressions in. It looks like Montana was sticking his face into the Idaho pin thing and someone said “freeze!”. Have I mentioned how much I love the Bitterroot Mountains, The Battle of Little Bighorn, and beer. Yes, beer. Montana ranks third in the nation in number of craft breweries per capita.
On second thought, that is the last Montana-specific item I will ever write.
Another random fact: At 4 min and 38 sec, visitors from Delaware have the highest “average time on the site”. Is that they’re really interested in what’s going on here? Or do they just read really slowly? I’ll leave that call up to you.
So yeah, find your state up there…are you representing or do you need to pick up the slack a bit?
