let’s tie up a couple loose ends…

i went 8-5 last week in my NFL picks. i’m not sure how i keep pulling these things out, but somehow in the first 1/3 of the season i’ve built a 4-game lead over the guy in second place. I don’t feel good about Week 7 at all, in fact, i just switched 3 of my picks, something i almost never do once i’ve made my selections. so we’ll see if this roll will continue. i’m sure you all are dying to find out. haha…

Got some neighbors coming over for dinner tonight, so that should be fun. Erica knows them from High School (yeah, that was only 8 years ago for her). It’s fun to have people over who aren’t in your normal hangout rotation. I’m really looking forward to it…

I’m really thinking about getting a nice phone for christmas. A blackberry or a Treo perhaps. I’d be much happier spending $200 than $300 on it though, so i don’t know if i’ll take the plunge…

Jordan’s moving into his apartment today. I’m excited for him…

I havent switched Auto Insurance for, oh, probably 5 years now. I just got off the phone with a broker who got my name from our financial advisor and he’s going to be able to save us around 40% on our auto insurance. huge. monthly payments will go from about $130 to about $75. and that’s with upping our limits from a paltry 15/40 to 100/300. why didnt i do this sooner?

Guess that’s about it for the news as of this moment. I’m sure the incomparable Buddy Watts will be happy that this is short. I’m hearing rumors all the way from Texas to PA that my long posts have brought him a great deal of annoyance lately. Buddy, i was thinking about you when i saw Don the other day. Reminded me of the trek to Messiah College we made and made me think that i miss hanging out with you…

oh and Jeremy, sorry the Mets let you down. Time heals all wounds, but while you’re still feeling bitter about it, take that angst into the studio and keep cranking out that killer record. i’ve had that daylight song in my head off and on for days now…

Enjoy a great weekend of rest this weekend everyone, or whatever it is you do on saturday and sunday…

thanks bryan. Man what a game though, huh!? Endy Chavez in the 6th inning with that amazing catch! I was jumping up and down. it was awesome…….and then we lost. But wow what a game.

Just for the record:
1.Seeing you with that picture of D.M. made me think about our trip to Messiah FIRST. It also made me miss hanging out also.
2.I actually enjoy reading your blogs. I find them “enlightening.” You actually inspired me to start bloggin myself. I am not nearly the blogging “Man” that you are. I am just hoping to ride your coat-tail.
3.I am completely over your name dropping. Not because I don’t like name dropping, but because I am jealous that you actually meet and hang out with these people.
4.I love you like a……big…incredible…something you love!

Igniting Change…

buddy, coat-tail riding is very underrated. it’s what got me through college. as for the name-dropping, yeah i hate doing it. for 2 reasons: 1) because these people are more than names to me usually, and 2) because i do think it’s cool to hang out with quasi-famous people, and i dont like that about myself. but in our culture it is so hard to fight that. or maybe it’s normal, i dont know. gotta cut the grass. keep blogging!

Cell phones…stay away from the XV6700 (PPC-6700). It’s a great PDA, but it’s a crappy phone. Friends of mine have had success with the Motorola Q. It’s Windows-based, but if you’re not against a Microsoft phone, it might be worth a look. I know GFM loves his treo, but he’s had issues lately, too.

What’s the insurance company saving you 40%? I’d be interested in some of that.
