@Helen, I haven't read AMMIATY yet, but from what I've heard of others, you don't think need to have read any other Donald Miller books, though a big player in this book is "Blue Like Jazz" which is his first NYT Best Seller.

I never want to tell people to read another book first, but I will absolutely recommend Blue Like Jazz to you anyhow. BLJ is a collection of essays Miller writes from his experiences in relationships with students in a christian group at Reed College, which was known to be one of the harshest places to be a student who is also a Christian.

We've eaten 3 bags of candy corn so far this month at my house. i'm sure if the Mister saw one stuck in a book, he would rescue and eat it and I'd have to flip thru all the pages to find my lost spot. my momma sent us a package yesterday with blackberry cobbler flavored candy corn. who knew they made that? blech. it is nast-ay and purple, but would make for about 156 new bookmarks... shall I send them your way?

I have never read anything by Donald Miller. I've heard of him. He's a friend of Jon Acuff's, right?
Would you recommend that I read this book before anything else he has written, or would it make more sense to read a previous book first?

I use empty envelopes from junk mail for a book mark. Unless I get the book from my local library. They give out free bookmarks. I can take as many as I want. I asked. Would you like me to send you some?
