I played in a golf tournament at the Hershey Country Club yesterday…yes, THAT Hershey…and had a great time. I snapped this picture in the center of town on our way there.

Notice:
- The Wonka-esque smokestacks with “Hershey” on them.
- The street we are about to turn onto: Chocolate Ave.
- The streetlights, which look like Hershey’s Kisses.
- The PENNDot truck that was spilling rocks all over the road. SAFETY FAIL.
All that chocolate got me thinking about snacking…except I’m a salty guy, not a sweets guy. I’ll take a bag of chips or some triscuits over candy, cake , or ice cream any day.
What about you? Are you one of my salt-loving peoples? Or do you always return to your sweet master, sugar?

Both. Together, separate, it doesn’t matter. I’m easy that way.
What Wendy said…
Sweet, then salt, salt then sweet. It’s all about balance. But if you leave a box of Cheezits around, you might regret it.
Salty. All the way. Although sometimes after eating an entire bag of chips, I feel the need to balance things off a bit by eating some Jolly Rancher jelly beans.
Always salty. Movie theater popcorn, chips and salsa, soft pretzels and mustard…
But. There are jolly rancher jelly beans?
Salty, almost all day in fact, with one acceptation, every night a big bowl of mint chocolate ice cream, the white, NOT the green. But then always something salty afterwards.
If I had to choose one, it would be salty. My favorite though is when it’s together. I love chocolate covered pretzels or peanuts/other nuts in almost any variety. That’s my true favorite.
Erin – Jolly Rancher jelly beans? Yes. And they are the bomb.
both, together. YUMMMMMA. =)
oh, potato chips over anything sweet any day.
gotta go with salty…but both together is also good!
My husband used to have frosting on saltine crackers. He says it’s delicious. I’m afraid to try, but I figure it’s the best of both worlds for him.
I’m more concerned with the fact that there is a tri-axle in the picture but it is not Penndot. Their trucks are yellow not dark blue plus dont have the orange construction vehicle warning sign on the back. Better look a little closer next time!
