I took a day off from work today because I was feeling a bit run down. We were up last night a little with Parker, who was running a fever all night and today. Kylie has been asking me to visit her for lunch all year, so It seemed like as good a day as any to make good on that before the year was over.

At lunch I sat with Kylie, Andrea, James, Jacob, and Brandon. Despite multiple warnings from the lunch teacher, us kids refused to use only our inside voices, so we had to spend the last 5 minutes of lunch without talking. I did my best to make the kids laugh (silently) while we were quiet. Good times.

Then we went outside and had some recess.

A bunch of the boys wanted me to chase them around, which i did, and eventually i had them chase me around, which was a huge mistake. At one point I had about 20 kids chasing me around the playground. I did my best LaDanian Tomlinson impression and avoided them all for about 90 seconds. But then I remembered that I am not a twenty-year old anymore, and I had to stop running. At which point I was swamped with 6-year olds.

I jumped some rope with Kylie…did a couple of lame magic tricks for the kids…and then the whistle blew and recess was over. It was a lot of fun.
