This afternoon erica and i will be heading into Philadephia with her brother Chad and his wife Dawn. There we’ll meet up with Than and Kandace and have a carbohydrate loaded dinner at Il Portico. The girls will be eating like pigs because they’ll be running 26.2 miles on Sunday morning. The guys will be eating like pigs because, well, we are pigs.

At 7am on Sunday the girls will join 7,000 other runners in the Philly Marathon. Erica and Kandace will run the race in about 4 hours and 10 minutes, give or take 10 minutes. Dawn will probably run it in around 3 hours and 30 minutes. The boys will follow their ladies around the city from Starbucks to Starbucks, cheering them on when we can. I’ve got all of the spectator spots loaded into Google Maps in my iPhone, so we should be able to get around the city fairly easily.

I can’t tell you how proud I am of erica, just for attempting to run this race. She started running in May, so she’s only really been training for this for 6 months, which is crazy. But when my baby sets her mind to something, she’s hard to stop.

Full report coming next week on our weekend in Philly.

So, how did she do? We are yearning to know!!!! By the way, I was fortunate enough to be given tickets to the Mavs/Grizzlies game on Sat. It was good times. We had “Platinum level” seats with private parking and V.I.P. entry. It was alot of fun. The Game was exciting also! Reminded me of the time you, me, Sam, and Chad went to see the Wizards play and Chad totally blew off the one legged guy whose car broke down.
