I’ve only lived in two states my entire life. I was born and raised in Massachusetts, and moved to Pennsylvania when I graduated college. That’s it, that’s the list.
I learn a hundred new differences between MA and PA every year, but the one that still baffles me the most is Trick or Treat night. In Massachusetts you Trick or Treated on Halloween no matter if it fell on a Sunday, a Wednesday, or a Fakeday. Didn’t matter.
Here in Pennsylvania we have dedicated Trick or Treat nights, so you have to check the web to find out when your township is going door to door for candy.
Insane? Yes, yes it is. Let’s move on.
A Little More About You and Halloween
1. What was your Halloween tradition as a kid? Did you trick or treat every year? Stay home and hand out candy? Go to an event at church?
2. What’s the best costume you’ve ever worn? (A million bonus points if you have a picture of yourself in it.)
3. Favorite and/or Least Favorite candy to get on Halloween?
Go ahead and scare the crap out of us in the comments.
Your reward will be a 2-inch Butterfinger.
