Thanks everyone for all the input with my Moo cards yesterday.
I’m gonna go through all the comments and figure out which ones to order.
As for our Charity: water campaign, here’s where we’re at as of this morning:
Days Left in the Campaign: 14
Donations given: 105
Money given: $8,910
Bayaka People served: 445
If you’re one of the 105 who’ve made a donation, thank you so much!
If you haven’t made a donation yet, I taped a very special guilt-trip inducing Public Service Announcement just for you.
Bottom Line is this…To give to this cause you need to give up two things: $20 (or however much you choose to give), and the 5 minutes it takes to fill out the 1-page web form.
And the more I think about it, the more I believe that the 5 minutes is the bigger obstacle. If all you had to do was snap your fingers and the donation was made, how many of you would do it? But it’s the inconvenience of clicking the link, filling out a form, digging your credit card out of your wallet, and typing your address out.
Like I said in the video, this isn’t about you or me or the other bloggers doing this. You’ll forget you even gave to this by next Tuesday. It will likely have no lasting impact on your life. But the change your gift makes in someone else’s life will be the exact opposite. It will improve their quality of life by a thousand. So with that in mind, please consider clicking the link, taking the 5 minutes, and giving a little.
$20 of your money + 5 minutes of your time = 20 years of clean water for 1 African.
Please consider donating to our campaign using this link.
Thanks.
